We LOVE General Conference and look forward to listening every 6 months. If you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you know what I am talking about. This is a time when we have the opportunity to listen to our prophet, the 12 apostles and other general authorities in a worldwide conference. General Conference is Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st, with two sessions each day, one starting at 10 A.M. and the other at 2 P.M. http://welovebeingmoms.blogspot.com/

With two little ones of my own, I know it can be hard to be able to sit down and peacefully listen to General Conference. I am all for having a bag of tricks to keep the kiddos interested and/or quiet so here are a few LDS Conference Activities I have come up with through the years. http://www.alittletipsy.com/2012/03/10-lds-conference-activities-for-kids.html

Conference Eggs
As I was wondering through the store trying to think of ways to help my family REALLY LISTEN to Conference, I couldn’t help but notice that the shelves were filled with colored plastic eggs. They were EVERYWHERE!!! The more I thought about these wonderful little things, the more I began to realize that . . . The plastic egg possibilities are endless!http://preparednotscared.blogspot.com/2011/03/few-conference-ideas-are-on-way.html
Celebrate Easter All Week By Learning About The Last Week of Christ’s Life
Ever since my oldest was about 3 years old we have celebrated Easter all week leading up to Easter Sunday. This helps us celebrate the Easter season {much like the Christmas season} rather just Easter on one day. It also helps to keep the appropriate focus on Jesus Christ and His Atonement and Resurrection. http://chocolateonmycranium.blogspot.com/2012/03/celebrate-easter-all-week-by-learning.html?showComment=1333172304379#c1352561000699539194
“Stand a Little Taller” Gordon B. Hinckley tribute 4:46
I wrote the song “Stand a Little Taller” on our album “Bring Me Home” shortly after the death of President Hinckley. I wrote it as a tribute to him and his teachings. I made this video In honor of his death 4 years ago and in honor of upcoming General Conference. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMx4y02bteE

General Conference Quiz
I seriously have way too much to do this week to get ready for General Conference…so. so. much. And that means I’m trying to get my house into a clean enough state where I can sit down and enjoy conference without feeling like I need to get up and clean something…and preparing meals so I’m not cooking or cleaning up a meal while the prophet speaks! Oy! It’s such a juggling act, being the heart of the home sometimes. Am I right?
