This past year for Christmas my girls received a fabulous gift from their Aunt Tiffany. http://www.nurturemama.net/2011/01/sunday-bags-and-quiet-books/
Today’s Merry Monday Freebie is the favorite quiet book in my family. It’s colorful with darling Primary illustrations by Amy Dott Harmer. Two of the pages have duplicates: 1 with a photo/illustration & 1 where you can insert your own wedding/family photo. http://www.simplyfreshdesigns.com/2010/10/quiet-books-we-believe/
But I finally completed these two New Testament quiet books. And I love them… what great images (available for download through the Gospel Picture Art Kit and Gospel Art book)… and what great doctrine, stories, and testimonies of Christ. It’s so uplifting to work on these quiet books. http://www.simplyfreshdesigns.com/

Today reminds me of the Chorus of the old song….
At the beginning of summer write down all the things you like to do this summer. Summer Wish list http://familyfun.go.com/printables/summer-wish-list-703413/

Grown-ups say a lot of things to children. Mostly they make decisions, give orders, and plead for their sanity with statements like, “Not now” and “Put that down!” and “Will you please be quiet? I can’t hear myself think!” Such clear interaction allows the child to grasp the intended meaning quickly and move on to the next activity. But sometimes a grown-up will say something that causes a young person to waste a tremendous amount of time trying to make sense out of what he heard. And sometimes what the child heard is completely baffling. http://mostlybrightideas.wordpress.com/2011/04/15/what-i-needed-to-hear/
